As risr/ continues to expand its presence within the veterinary industry, we have been privileged to support Vetlife, a distinguished charity that provides support to members of the veterinary community and their families with emotional, health and financial concerns. Vetlife’s inspiring mission and values align with risr/’s, thus creating a perfect fit for a collaboration.
Our team have fostered a relationship with Michelle Gratton, Donor Relations Manager at Vetlife, to build upon some wonderful initiatives. Such as our latest involvement with the Tour De Vet School run by Vetlife, powered by risr/.
Tour De Vet School
Tour de Vet School is a 15-day challenge led by Oscar Sinfield, cycling over 1,000 miles to all 12 UK veterinary schools that took place from September 27th to 11th October, a ride commencing in Aberdeen, travelling across the UK from Keele to Cambridge and concluding in Nottingham. And at each stop, Oscar and the Vetlife team facilitated student talks and wellbeing evenings focused on mental health and career support, with the goal to inspire and connect with the next generation of vet professionals. And risr/ was honoured to be the main and kit sponsor for this inspiring campaign branded as “Vetlife powered by risr/.” We are also pleased to share that the ride was a huge success and would like to take a moment to commend all of those that participated in the race, whether you were cycling along with Oscar or supporting from the sidelines at each stop, all of the widespread support behind the cause was truly admirable. The team also managed to successfully raise over a whopping £7.4K as a result towards their goal!

Vetlink
To kick off the Tour De Vet School, risr/ hosted Vetlink, a digital community event for the veterinary committee. The online event was more than just an introduction, it was designed and run to be a safe space for attendees to have honest conversations, check in with others and forge meaningful connections. The panel was moderated by risr/’s own Claire Simmons and featured Michelle Gratton, Oscar Sinfield, and James Russell, the president of Vetlife. The panel engaged in an informal discussion, with panelists sharing reflections on their professional journeys and perspectives on wellbeing, support, and the importance of caring for themselves and others in today’s veterinary world.
Looking forward to the future
Our collaboration has allowed us to build connections and relationships with Vetlife and beyond, providing sponsorship opportunities for risr/ to support inspiring initiatives whilst allowing us build our brand visibility and awareness to the veterinary community from students to academic professionals. And we hope to continue our collaboration into 2026 as we continue to grow in the vet space!
